The “Technology Development Zones Performance Index” ranking was conducted for the first time in 2011 by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, and the latest index comparing 2014 data was announced at the “3rd Technology Development Zones Summit” held on 07.10.2015.

At the summit, where a total of 61 TDZs, 46 of which were active in Turkey, were evaluated, assessments were made in three categories: Mature TDZs (age≥10), Developing TDZs (age 5-10), and Early Stage TDZs (age≤5).

At the Technology Development Zones Summit attended by Fikri Işık, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology, Dokuz Eylül Technology Development Zone (DEPARK) ranked first in the Early Stage TDZ category according to the “2014 Performance Index Results”.

Although it has been a short time since its establishment, DEPARK ranked 7th in the general ranking of all technoparks with a performance of only one year. has reached a large size.

In his speech, Minister Işık stated that “In the new era, Turkey aims to become the production base of Eurasia with medium-high and high-tech products” and gave plaques to the officials of the technopolis with the best performance and posed for a souvenir photo.

Receiving the awards on behalf of Dokuz Eylül Technology Development Zone (DEPARK), Dokuz Eylül University Vice Rector and DEPARK Chairman of the Board of Directors Prof. Dr. Murat Özgören stated that this success is of great importance for Dokuz Eylül University, other universities and technoparks, and Izmir.

DEPARK, which pioneered by opening the first thematic health technopark, has made another contribution to Izmir’s progress towards becoming the Capital of Innovation with these awards.
