\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDEPARK was awarded 3rd place in the Early Stage Technoparks Category at the 6th TGB Summit. <\/strong>\n\nThe sixth “Technology Development Zones Performance Index” organized by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology was announced this year.\n\nDokuz Eyl\u00fcl Technology Development Zone (DEPARK) ranked 3rd in the Early Stage (Age<5) TGB category. \n\nDEPARK ranked 13th in the general ranking of all technoparks in Turkey. DEPARK has been in the top three in the Early Stage Technology Development Zones (Age<5) TDZ category for 4 years in a row. \n\nWith over 12,000 square meters of R&D and innovation office space, an occupancy rate of over 98%, more than 1100 people are employed in the Dokuz Eyl\u00fcl Technology Development Zone (DEPARK), which also includes Turkey’s first specialized health technopark;\n\nDokuz Eyl\u00fcl University Rector V. Prof. Dr. Erdal \u00c7elik and DEPARK General Manager V. Burcu Ersoy stated that they are proud to receive this award, which demonstrates the strength of the R&D and innovation ecosystem. They stated that in the field of health technologies, where more inventions and innovative ideas progress towards commercialization every year, technopark entrepreneurs are getting stronger with the interest and support of the leading companies of the sector. \n\nIn his opening speech at the 6th TGB Summit, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Dr. Faruk \u00d6zl\u00fc said that we are increasing the quality of our technoparks in order to transform the knowledge produced in universities into technology and added value. As of today, we have reached 77 technoparks, 56 of which are active. Our goal is to establish technoparks in all 81 provinces. \n\n47,500 R&D personnel are employed in our technoparks where 5 thousand companies operate. To date; 28 thousand projects have been completed and 8 thousand 500 projects are ongoing. From the projects produced in our technoparks; 3.4 billion dollars of export revenue was obtained.\n
