The winning project in the competition for the Gama Building, which will be built next to the DEPARK Alpha and Beta buildings located in Dokuz Eylül University Tınaztepe Campus, has been announced. With an investment cost of 400 million TL, the winner of the GAMA R&D and Innovation Center Project was İki Artı Bir Architecture. DEU Rector Prof. Dr. Nükhet Hotar said that the choice was made by considering economic and rational solutions while planning the Gama R&D and Innovation Center and added, “Research and development and innovation lie at the basis of technological development. At this point, providing an environment where researchers can work comfortably is among our most important duties. Our project, which was selected first, stood out with its ability to adapt to investment scenarios and provide flexibility according to the demands of entrepreneurs. While planning our new building, we also paid attention to its environmental friendliness. Our building will adapt to the structure of our Tınaztepe Campus with its fragmented mass design that does not cut the wind and produces shaded outdoor spaces. In the architectural project competition, all valuable projects were meticulously examined and the winning project was determined.”
